My Internship Project, Explained.
This project was about looking up research project for different age groups I worked on three different projects with in this one I had to look up project that we around STEM. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. Which was really fun to look up different take home project, famous people, and vocabulary words. I worked on this research document for about 1 week until moving to another project which was just creating a doc about kinder projects which would contain information on a projects that the kinder children would love. Then the last research project I worked on was working on was coming up with different different camp themes for camp. This was fun because I had to come up with themes, projects, and games that matched the theme.
Project #2 Assemblies
Putting on assemblies for elementary was really fun, we went around different after school programs which were DASH or STRECH and talked to them about camp. We gave a MOCK assembly to show what a real camp assembly would look like it was a fun experience that the kids could enjoy and try and get there mind on camp. Also when giving these assemblies I was able to get my confidence back. For a long time I had a hard time talking infront of people so when it came to or Presentation of Learning (POL) or just talking in front of a group I had a hard time and I would get really nervous. Which was not like me so having this internship and being able to talk in front of 25 - 30 students and keep their attention was hard but, it showed me that I still had the skill to talk in front of large crowds. So I would have to say that doing these small assemblies help me find my voice aging and I was really able to see that growth in an exhibition that I did for my second book launch and I was the Masters of Ceremony for our exhibition and I had to talk in front of 20 - 25 people and I was able to talk clearly and with confidence.
My Resource Binder was my personal long lasting project that I had to do it contained Songs, Brain Breaks, Attention Getters, Games, Sit Down Tunes, Celebrations, Extras, and a Have Fun section. This binder was my long lasting project because we need something that had to stay with the organization while we were long gone. Roy came up with the idea of creating a binder that would contain information that the staff would not have to repeat so they can just show incoming volunteers or next year's interns and they can just have a background of what should happen. Also the binder could be added to and they can build on it.
